Pumpkin Cookie Bake Off!

Okay...so Sunday night me and CJ were craving pumpkin cookies. So we go to the store to get some pumpkin filling and I was expecting a cookie recipe on the back but it was just the pie recipe. So both of us call our families to get a pumpkin cookie recipe. I get one from my sister and he gets one from his mom. I wanted nuts in mine and would rather use butter than shortening so we decided to make our own batches of cookies and have a bake off :) Tyler Erickson came over to judge this exciting event, ha.
Well he was getting flustered and the dough wasn't looking like his "moms" cookies. Haha. So CJ's first batch of cookies came out flat...i tried to tell him he needed more flour but he thought I was sabotaging him. So he called his mom and she told him he needed to add more flour. By this time he's added too much flour and they came out really thick and floury. Haha. After all the crap talking about how amazing and how yummy and moist his cookies were, I won the bake off. What a great filling :) By the way..I'll be posting some pictures of how our cookies turned out.

Lonley days

I'm just sitting home again, all alone. As I do most of the days while CJ is at work. I clean...I've cooked so much food that I'm afraid my fridge is going to over flow with a ton of left overs. We decided I just get done with school as fast as I can, and still look for maybe a side job while I do it. So I've been a little busy with homework lately, but it's still really quiet around here. It makes me really baby hungry, being all alone and wanting a part of CJ here with me. But I know I need to just get busy and things will happen the way they should. It's hard though.

Cj doesn't work for the next two days :) So we're thinkin about goin fishing tomorrow and then head over to Lake Powell with all our friends. I'm so excited! I haven't been to the lake all summer because of all the wedding planning.

Sorry this post is kinda boring...I don't have any crazy or funny stories right now. Besides funny husband stories I guess ;)

I've been such an emotional girl lately too. CJ just looks at me wrong and I start bawling. He is such a good husband though, he just gives me a hug and waits for me to get a hold of myself, of course he's trying to hold in his laughs. He's been really patient with me and I know I take advantage of him sometimes, I hope he knows I appreciate all he does for me and how much I love him. Alright well I have homework to do so I better quit slackin. I'll post when I have something more interesting to talk about. I'm just bored :) Ha. See ya!

We're married! Wow has time flown by. It's been really crazy lately. The wedding was amazing, everything turned out really beautiful. Our families and friends did such a good job putting the whole thing together :)

Well in regards to the honeymoon...I ended up not getting a passport so we decided to go to Cali and drive up the coast a little bit. It was really neat to see California again. It had been ten years since I'd been to L.A. so it was good. The water was pretty cold though..which was a huge disappointment to me, cause all I wanted to do of course is just lay on the beach in the sun the whole time. Ha, but it was still really fun and romantic.

The last week or so we've just been getting settled in our apartment. So..lots of cleaning and shopping for stuff we need...and moving crap around. I haven't done a ton of decorating in my life, haha so it's been an experience. I think everything has turned out good though! Me and CJ have enjoyed finally being alone and settled in our own place :) I love it. I have my own house! Woo hoo.

Well I'm still in my pajamas from cleaning all morning...so I better get ready before my hunny gets home. I'll post soon I promise.

Oh...and I'll post some pictures of the wedding too. I have some from the honeymoon but his computer won't let my memory card upload them. So I'll have to do something else.

Gettin' Hitched!

Well the time has come for us to get our own blog. Even though we're not married yet I figured I'd get a head start. And since CJ is really not a blog person...I'll be doing most of the posts.

Well there's so much to say! Ten more days and we will be married. I can't believe it. These last couple of months have flown by so fast. It's amazing how time flies when you're crazy busy and things just keep coming up. But I'm really happy with how everything is turning out. Wedding plans have really come together and it's almost OVER! YAY! Mexico here we come :)

Well I have a ton of stuff to do...so I will post again when I get the chance.
